TORONTO, Ont. – A 14-year-old girl was struck by a pick-up truck in the Main Street and Danforth Avenue area Wednesday.
The girl was struck shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Main Street and Doncaster Avenue.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Toronto police said the vehicle fled the site of the collision.
Police are seeking a two-door white pick-up truck with blue writing on its side. It has no cab and an empty box. It was last seen travelling eastbound on Doncaster Avenue.
The driver is described as a white man in his late 40s, with a white handlebar moustache and a heavy, muscular build. He was wearing a blue-checkered shirt.
