TORONTO, Ont. – The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is warning people with allergies to mustard not to consume a certain kind of hot dogs.
The affected product — Halal Beef Hot Dogs, prepared for Corsetti Meat Packers Ltd., — contains mustard, which is not declared on the label.
The product bears the Ontario approved Plant number 6472 and were sold frozen in vacuum packages containing 10 pieces from the CMP Meats retail store located at 2255 St. Clair Ave. W. in Toronto, Ont.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product, but it may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to mustard.
The manufacturer, Soloway Hot Dog Factory Inc., has voluntarily recalled the affected product from the marketplace.
