As Grey Cup fever continues to rise, the mayors of the two cities playing for the coveted trophy are exchanging some friendly banter.
Mayor Rob Ford and Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi have challenged each other to a friendly wager in which the losing mayor will have to wear the opposition’s jersey to a council meeting.
The two also held a flap-jack flipping contest Saturday morning ahead of the big game.
The two exchanged jerseys as a part of the bet they have on who will win.
Ford addressed Calgary fans after the event, saying don’t get too comfortable.
“We’ll treat you good until kick-off Sunday, then, pack your bags, because Toronto is going to give you a whoopin’ like you’ve never felt before,” declared Ford.
Nenshi responded by saying he’ll be happy when the Stampeders win so he can use the Argo jersey to wipe slush off his car.
The losing city’s mayor must also donate their weight in food to the winning city’s food bank.
