Not every American – or Canadian – will be taking advantage of Black Friday bargains.
For a group of non-shoppers, Friday has been labelled “buy nothing day” and consumers are being urged to go cold turkey when it comes to hitting malls and big-box stores.
The B.C.-based group, adbusters.org, says by refraining from shopping, we can ‘take out the forces of capitalism’.
Supporters are being urged to spread the word by offering to cut up the credit cards of shoppers in clogged malls.
