Liberal leadership candidate Justin Trudeau was trending on Twitter, Thursday afternoon, but not for a positive reason.
The Tweets refer to some comments he made in 2010 during an interview with a Quebec-based television channel.
During the interview, Trudeau said he was tired of Albertans running the country, and whether it was Jean Chretien or Brian Mulroney, Canada is better off with Quebecers in charge.
The story has since been printed in the Sun chain of newspapers.
The comments came only days after Liberal MP David McGuinty was forced to step down as natural resources critic following negative comments he made about Alberta.
Trudeau was scheduled to speak to supporters in Chilliwack, B.C. on Thursday.
