A seventh candidate has entered the Liberal leadership race one day before the deadline to register.
Mississauga-Erindale MPP Harinder Takhar resigned as Government Services Minister Thursday and announced his intention to run.
He joins other leadership hopefuls: Kathleen Wynne, Glenn Murray, Charles Sousa, Eric Hoskins, Sandra Pupatello and Gerard Kennedy.
Takhar said he plans to use his experience to empower Ontario’s small business engine to create jobs and help Ontario families be the best they can be.
The Provincial liberals choose a new leader in January.
