TORONTO, Ont. – The Daily Bread Food Bank has launched it’s annual Holiday Drive, with food bank officials asking for donations from individuals, families, community groups, employee groups, events, corporations and foundations.
The support from the community allows the Daily Bread to secure nutritious food supplies and get it to those who need it most.
The Food Bank hopes to raise $1.5 million in cash and almost 1-million pounds in food by the end of December.
Monetary donations will be used to buy non-perishables.
The Daily Bread Food Bank provides food supplies to 66,000 people each month in Toronto.
Donations can be made at any local fire hall, some grocery stores or online at the food banks website or mail a cheque to the Daily Bread Food Bank.
