TORONTO, Ont. – Police are investigating two separate street assaults that happened over the weekend.

The Toronto Star reports a 16-year-old girl was blindfolded and choked unconscious near Jane Street and Highway 401 Friday night. It’s alleged two males searched her bag for cash but left empty handed.

The girl suffered minor injuries in the attack.

In another incident, just before midnight Saturday, The Star reports a 35-year-old man suffered a large cut to his hand when he was pushed into a window in the Danforth and Donlands Avenues.

The suspect drove away in a Toyota, and is described as white, in his mid-twenties, standing 5’8″ tall with a medium build and short-brown hair.

Anyone with information is being asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
