A 30-year old man has been rushed to hospital with burns after a two alarm fire in a building on Queen Street at Cameron, west of Spadina.

It started around 6:15 a.m. on Monday in an apartment building above a hardware store and is now out.

The person’s condition isn’t known.

A number of people actually had to be rescued from the roof of the building by fire crews.

The TTC’s 501 Queen streetcars are diverting both ways via Spadina, King and Shaw due to the investigation.
