Toronto Man convicted after stabbing his wife in 2008

A Toronto man has been convicted of second-degree murder in the brutal stabbing of his wife in 2008.

The verdict in Peer Khairi’s case was delivered Sunday.

Peer Khairi slit his wife’s throat and stabbed her five times.  A police officer told the court last month that Randjida Khairi was “half-way decapitated” when her body was found in the family’s Etobicoke home on March 18, 2008.

Khairi will be sentenced Tuesday.
