Barrie man arrested with three times legal blood-alcohol limit

Police in Barrie have charged a man with impaired driving after he allegedly blew three times the legal limit.

At around 9 p.m. Friday police got a call about a crash at Bayfield and Sophia streets.

The officer at the scene arrested a 39-year-old man and then took him to the station. He was given a breath test where police determined he was impaired.

Aside from one impaired driving charge, the man also faces a charge of operating a motor vehicle with blood-alcohol content over 80 milligrams.

His drivers licence was suspended for 90-days while his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
