Below is a list of events (outside of Remembrance Day) taking place this weekend (Nov. 9-11) in the GTA. Click here for a list of Remembrance Day events.

For families: Take your city kids to see the farm animals before the 90th Royal Agricultural Winter Fair ends on Sunday.  You can also check out the Olympic-calibre riders during the National and International Show Jumping contest as they and their horses compete on a course. Plus learn about the different breeds at the Spirit of the Horse or watch pooches race through mazes at SuperDogs. 100 Princes’ Blvd., Friday 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday 9 a.m.-9 p.m., Sunday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

For visitors: Hockey fans can be part of the excitement as the Hockey Hall of Fame prepares to welcome its latest inductees: Mats Sundin, Joe Sakic, Adam Oates and Pavel Bure. The Hall will have tributes to the Class of 2012 all weekend long so drop by for a visit and check out the new 3D film, get your autographs and see which special guests may pop by. 30 Yonge St. Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, 9:30 a.m. -6 p.m. Sunday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. $11-$17.50

For singles: Hop onboard the Contemporary Art Bus for a tour of downtown’s Blackwood Gallery, Doris McCarthy Gallery and Koffler Gallery Off-Site exhibition. The tour starts at the University of Toronto Art Centre. 15 King’s College Circle. Sunday. Noon to 5 p.m. Free. Call 905.828.3789 to reserve a seat.

For charity: Join Citytv’s Tracy Moore and HGTV’s Emmanuel Belliveau for a gourmet meal, live music and a silent auction at New Beginning Support Program’s  5th annual masquerade ball. Funds raised go to help marginalized women. King Edward hotel. 37 King St. E. Saturday 6:30 p.m. $125.

For kicks: See a diverse lineup of films by veteran filmmakers, such as Hoop Dreams director Steve James, whose new film The Interrupters will be featured at the Regent Park Film Festival. There will also be short films by local emerging filmmakers, plus short films at this indie festival now in its 10th year. Daniels Spectrum. 585 Dundas St. E. Until Saturday  Free.
