VANCOUVER ISLAND, B.C. – A 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck near Vancouver Island Wednesday evening, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The agency said the quake hit 186 kilometres southwest of Port Hardy at 9 p.m. ET.
There are no immediate reports of damage or injuries. No tsunami is expected.
It comes after a massive 7.7-magnitude quake struck Haida Gwaii on Oct. 27. No one was injured in that quake.
