TORONTO, Ont. – A 33-year-old woman was fatally struck by two vehicles in northwest Toronto Thursday.
Investigators said the woman was crossing the street mid-block to catch a bus at the time she was struck in the Lawrence Avenue West and Dufferin Street area around 6:50 a.m.
She was struck by a westbound vehicle and subsequently, by an eastbound vehicle. Both drivers remained at the scene.
She died at the scene.
Police have not yet identified the woman but a family friend identified the victim to CityNews as Neiky Pardo.
According to the friend, Pardo lived just steps away from where she died. She leaves behind a husband and a young daughter.
No charges have been laid.
Earlier Thursday, a 30-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run in Richmond Hill.
