Charges are pending against a man who police say hid in a sewer to avoid being arrested, Tuesday.
The events began with an OPP chase after an officer noticed a speeding car in Caledon.
Investigators allege that after the male driver crashed the car, he was seen crawling into a nearby sewer.
A hazmat team got him out and he was taken to hospital as a precaution.
