TORONTO, Ont. – A woman in her 70s was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a car slammed into an east-end grocery store Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred shortly after 2 p.m. at 2300 Lawrence Ave. E., near Kennedy Road in Scarborough.
Police said the car crashed into the store and pinned the woman between shipping pallets.
