Former mob boss Vito Rizzuto is back in Montreal, and some are speculating that he may be preparing for battle.

Sources told the QMI Agency that Rizzuto recently purchased an armoured vehicle worth more than $100,000.

Reports also indicate he is living in a well-guarded downtown apartment.

Rizzuto was released from prison in the United States after serving eight years in relation to a triple murder in 1981.

The 66-year-old’s return to Canada happened around the same time as another round of firebombings to numerous businesses, some of which are believed to have mafia ties.
