TORONTO, Ont. – A man is wanted for a string of gas-and-dash thefts from gas stations in Scarborough and York Region.
Toronto police have released security images of the suspect and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying him.
According to police, the suspect pulls up to gas pumps, fills up his vehicle, lays the gas hose down on the pavement and drives off without paying.
Police said the suspect either drives a black four-door Mercedes Benz or a black Dodge Caravan. The licence plates on the vehicles are unauthorized, police said.
Police describe the suspect as black, five-foot-9, with an average build. He is often seen with an injured right foot, police said.
