An evacuation order has been lifted at the Canadian embassy in Washington, D.C. on Friday as reports of a suspicious package have turned out to be a false alarm.
The embassy was evacuated around 9 a.m. after a suspcious package was found inside.
The deputy spokesperson at the embassy told 680News the embassy has been evacuated in the past for suspicious packages but that it doesn’t happen too often.
About 300 people work at the embassy and they are now at work after the all-clear was given.
