The Ford brothers are once again in trouble with Toronto’s integrity commissioner, this time for comments made about the Medical Officer of Health on their Newstalk 1010 radio show.
Mayor Rob Ford and brother, Councillor Doug Ford, had criticized Dr. David McKeown in April, for his recommendation that the city lower speed limits to protect pedestrians.
On that particular show, the brothers had referred to Dr. McKeown as an overpaid embarrassment.
The city’s integrity commissioner wants council to formally rule finding of fault, because she says Doug Ford broke council’s code of conduct. She has also asked he be reprimanded because he has refused to apologize for the remark.
However, Mayor Ford will not receive reprimand because he has since sent out a retraction letter.
The Mayor was not available for comment, Thursday.
