TORONTO, Ont. – Toronto police have arrested a fourth person in connection to a case of human trafficking and juvenile prostitution, following the release of an arrest warrant for the man on Wednesday.
Police allege two girls, ages 14 and 15, were procured into prostitution in the Sherbourne Street area.
On Wednesday, police arrested Alberto Vazquez, 21, and laid ten charges against him, including two counts of procuring a person to become a prostitute, two counts of living on the avails of prostitution and two counts of receiving material benefits.
He is scheduled to appear at Old City Hall on Thursday.
An investigation led to the arrest of a 16-year-old girl and 21-year-old Anthony Merchan last month.
The teenager, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, faces 10 offences including two counts of procuring a person to become a prostitute and two counts of trafficking persons.
Merchan was charged with six similar offences.
On Oct. 2, police arrested Alejandro Rengifo, 18, and laid six charges against him, including two counts of procuring a person to become a prostitute and two counts of trafficking persons.
