TORONTO, Ont. – Toronto police are on the lookout for a man wanted in connection with a string of robberies in the Wellesley and Bleecker streets area.
On Sept. 12 at about 10 a.m., a man confronted an elderly woman in the elevator of her apartment building and blocked her from exiting it. He demanded money from the woman and forcefully removed her wallet from her purse.
He fled with a quantity of cash.
Police believe the man has since targeted three other women in the elevators of the apartment buildings they live in.
The suspect is described as black, five-foot-10 with a thin build, short black hair and no facial hair. The suspect was last seen wearing black shoes, black pants, a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt, a green baseball hat with a white symbol on the front and red underneath the brim.
