TORONTO, Ont. – Sherway Gardens shopping centre in Etobicoke will get a $350-million facelift that will include new stores, a new second-level food court and a new three-level parkade, its owner Cadillac Fairview Corp. Ltd. said Tuesday.
The redevelopment, which will begin in January and take 45 months to finish, will provide an additional 210,000 square feet of retail space as well as the renovation of 90,000 square feet of existing space.
“By making room for new best-in-class retailers and enhancing our overall shopping and dining environments, we are extending the mall’s appeal to the increasingly affluent, discerning shopper that Sherway Gardens attracts,” Clive Baxter, Cadillac Fairview’s senior vice-president of its Ontario portfolio, said in a release.
The new retail space area will include Toronto’s first Nordstrom store slated for fall 2016 and four new full-service restaurants. JOEY and P.F. Chang’s are among the new restaurants that will open at the mall.
The expansion will also include a new three-level parkade for 1,200 parking spaces.
The mall transformation will also encompass the expansion of both Harry Rosen and Sporting Life, and has attracted other popular brands, such as Tiffany & Co., and Forever 21, which is slated to open in December.

Now all they have to do is get Sherway directly connected to the subway…and yes, a supermarket.
Supermarket, YES! Not sure in Sherway per se, but somewhere in that immediate vicinity, as the area clearly needs one, especially with the new condos coming.
Subway, NO! One of the reasons Sherway is such a good, clean, and SAFE mall (compared to other major shopping malls in the GTA) is the absence of a subway connection. Putting a subway will do nothing but attract trouble.
I believe what is really missing in that expansion is a decent size high profile grocery store. IE Whole Foods or Longos. It is so unbelieve that just retail, retail and restaurants upon restuarants are going up when a good size grocery centre is needed especially since the condos are there. where was this never even considered. I had thought at one point in time this would have been the case.
