TORONTO, Ont. – Can you remember the last time you paid less than $1 for a litre of gas?
For most people, it’s becoming a faint memory, but some gas price experts are predicting such prices by the end of the year.
One expert told the Toronto Star he predicts gas prices could dip to 99-cents a litre by Christmas.
However, 680News gas price watcher En-Pro predicted the lowest it will go is $1.10.
One motorist said he thinks the signs are already indicating that prices are plummeting.
“Last week, we were paying $1.32, and today it’s $1.18,” the man said, but he’s not sure it will drop to 99 cents.
Some gas price experts said there’s no reason for prices to be as high as they are, so it should fall now that we’re past the peak summer driving season.
