Imagine playing video games for 24-hour straight. To some it might sound like a treat while to others it might sound like a nightmare.
That gaming marathon is exactly what hundreds of gamers from across North America are doing for charity, including 680News gaming expert Momin Qureshi.
“The money goes to the Children’s Miracle Network, which is a series of hospitals across North America, but there are twelve of them across Canada,’ Qureshi said.
“The beauty is if you donate to someone in the GTA, the money will go to their hospital, so the one downtown would be the beneficiary if you donated here.”
So far Momin’s team in the ‘Extra Life’ event has raised more than a thousand dollars, and he played from 10:30 a.m. Saturday to 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
