Several Piller’s Sub Pac Classic and Slices Pepperoni products have been recalled because they contain wheat that is not declared on the label.
The products were sold across Canada in varying size packages with best before dates ranging from Sept. 11 to Dec. 13.
The products include: Sliced Pepperoni in 6x500g packages, Sub Pac Classic $5 (Pepperoni, Luncheon Meat, Smoked Ham) in 400g packages and Sub Pac Classic (Pepperoni, Luncheon Meat, Smoked Ham) in 250g packages.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the products, which could pose a serious threat to people allergic to wheat or sensitive to gluten.
Piller’s Fine Foods, Waterloo, Ont. issued a voluntary recall which is being monitored by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
