TORONTO, Ont. – An 18-year-old man has died after a crash on the Don Valley Parkway, while a second man, 19, is in stable condition in hospital.
The southbound DVP has now re-opened after being closed since approximately 5:30 a.m.for a police investigation into a fatal crash.
The parkway was closed between Eglinton Avenue and Don Mills Road as police investigated the single-vehicle crash, that saw a 2001 Chevy Silverado lose control and strike and badly damage a guardrail near Spanbridge Road.
“There is some heavy guard-rail damage, we’ll have to start taking care of the damage on the guard rail,” said Constable Clint Stibbe.
Police continue to investigate the crash and anyone with information should contact police or Crime Stoppers.
