TORONTO, Ont. – Police are asking the public for help after a 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in the Logan and Danforth area in late summer.

The girl told investigators on August 31 around midnight, she was approached by a man while she was sitting on a bench in Withrow Park.

He sat down on the bench and began a conversation with her, before sexually assaulting her. She managed to escape, while the man stayed at the park.

The suspect is described as black, in his 20′s, 5’9″ to 6’0″, thin, with short brush-cut black hair. He was carrying a soccer style string backpack.

Anyone with information is being asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
