TORONTO, Ont. – More than 10,000 provincial bureaucrats have a new contract with the Ontario government.

The Association of Management, Administrative and Professional Crown Employees of Ontario (AMAPCEO) has ratified a new agreement that includes a two-year salary freeze.

Around 7,500 members took part in the ratification vote last week and 71 per cent of them voted in favour of the new contract.

The government claims it with save $55-million over two years.

The deal covers unionized managers and professional employees, including senior policy advisors, financial analysts, auditors, scientists, mediators and communications officers.
