HAMILTON, Ont. – A woman died Monday night after a tire flew off a vehicle and struck her vehicle on the Toronto-bound QEW at Centennial Parkway in Hamilton.
Police said the tire came off a Fort Erie-bound vehicle around 7 p.m. and bounced over the median and struck the Toronto-bound vehicle.
The driver was transported hospital where she was later pronounced dead. Her identity has not been released.
Police shut down all lanes of the eastbound QEW.
The lanes have since reopened.
