GO Transit commuters will reportedly no longer be able to purchase monthly passes, starting in January.
Instead, Go Transit users will have to use the Presto Card, an electronic fare card system. Purchasing daily tickets is another option.
Notices are reportedly set to go up across the GO Transit line on Monday morning.
Go Transit has said 18 per cent of its total ridership uses the monthly pass.
There are currently 250,000 Presto card users.
