Police are investigating two fatal crashes that happened northwest of the city Friday night.

The first happened near the Burlington-Milton border, when a 20-year-old man from Guelph was killed after his vehicle and a recycling truck collided.

The second-crash happened on Highway 403, just west of Brantford.

A woman was killed when her car crossed the median and collided with a car in the eastbound lane.

No names have been released in either case and police are still investigating the details.
