The sport of mobile phone throwing comes to Canada Saturday, with first annual ‘Canadian Mobile Phone Throwing Championship’ set to be hosted in Toronto.
Organizers say the Canadian competition was inspired by the recent championship in Finland.
The competition will take place Saturday afternoon during halftime at the Red-and-Blue Bowl game between U of T’s Varsity Blues and the York University Lions.
Three qualifiers will try to set a Canadian record and also break the 101.46-metre world record set in Finland.
