A man from Oshawa has been charged after he allegedly sent nude photos of his ex-girlfriend to her family, friends and her employer.

Durham Regional Police said the victim had sent the photos to her then-boyfriend in 2010 in a “sexting” exchange while they were dating.

Police said the suspect, 46, allegedly sent them out through email and text messaging last month.

The man – whose identity is being withheld to protect the victim – has been charged with defamatory libel. If convicted, he could face up to five years in prison.
