TORONTO, Ont. – A stretch of Mount Pleasant Road has reopened after an emergency repair shut down the road for several hours between Inglewood and Roxborough drives on Wednesday.
The roadway reopened at 6:30 a.m. after hydro workers and fire crews stabilized a water leak in a tunnel.
Toronto Hydro was working to lower equipment into a tunnel to pump out contaminated ground water when a leak developed due to a broken seal.
