TORONTO, Ont. – The man charged in June’s shooting at the Eaton Centre food court has been convicted of sexual assault.
The Toronto Star reported Christopher Husbands, 23, was found guilty of sexual assault, Wednesday, in connection with an incident which happened in November 2010 where he engaged in non-consensual sex with a woman in her 20′s.
Husbands was 21 at the time and knew the victim. A publication ban is in place to protect her identity.
After being charged, Husbands was placed under house arrest and was ordered not to be in possession of a weapon. That condition would have still been in place at the time of the Eaton Centre shooting.
