TORONTO, Ont. – Firefighters were forced to respond after a vacant house near Highway 401 and Bathurst Street went up in flames Tuesday morning.
The fire began around 4:30 a.m. in an empty house on Deloraine Avenue, quickly escalating to what firefighters call a two-alarm blaze.
Crews managed to get the upper hand and put out the blaze about thirty minutes later.
Neighbours said the home has been vacant for quite some time.
No injuries were reported in the fire and there has been no word on a cause.
