For the second year in a row, the Daily Bread Food Bank has fallen short of its Thanksgiving food-drive target.
The target was 400,000 pounds of food and $400,000 in cash donations.
As of Thanksgiving Monday, the bank had collected only 155,000 pounds of food and $265,000 in cash.
There will still be another chance for the bank to top up the numbers this Sunday, with some runners in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon running in support of the food bank.
