Toronto city council is no longer talking about selling the zoo.
Three days after the city asked for interested parties to come forward, council passed a motion cancelling any potential privatization.
The Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, which owns most of the zoo land, was opposed and there were suggestions privatizing the zoo could jeopardize the giant panda deal with China.
