TORONTO, Ont. – A 35-year-old motorcyclist is dead after striking a vehicle and propelling into a pole on Friday.
The motorcyclist was travelling northbound on Jane Street, near St. Clair Avenue West, just before 3 p.m.
Police said the driver of the vehicle changed lanes from the curb lane to the passing lane when the motorcyclist stuck the rear of the vehicle, propelling him from the motorcycle and into a pole.
He died at the scene from severe head injuries. The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet.
The driver of the car was not injured.
