NEWMARKET, Ont. – York Regional Police uncovered a marijuana grow-op in a Newmarket cornfield near Woodbine Avenue and Davis Drive on Thursday.
In the first of nine grow-op locations, police seized 200 plants valued at $1,000 each.
The investigation is ongoing.
Police are urging witnesses to come forward if they saw any suspicious vehicles around corn fields in Newmarket.
