TORONTO, Ont. – The Ontario government plans to replace Highway 401 off-ramp bridge at Bridgeland Avenue near Yorkdale Shopping Centre, in what’s being called a very speedy fix.
The work will be done over just two days starting on Oct. 26.
The rapid bridge replacement is a first for the Toronto area.
Crews will be using state of the art technology to lift, move and replace the 49-year-old, 900-pound structure.
Typically, a project like this takes between 9-12 months.
