TORONTO, Ont. – Toronto police have arrested three suspects and recovered one firearm, following a foot chase that cordoned off Victoria Park and Sunrise avenues on Wednesday.

There are no outstanding suspects.

Police officers were involved in a foot chase in the east-end around 4:30 p.m.

Two of the suspects were arrested but a third suspect apparently entered O’Connor Community Centre at 1386 Victoria Park Ave.

The third suspect was arrested shortly after 6 p.m.

A daycare within the centre was placed under hold and secure.

Police said the children were transferred to the parking lot of Clairlea Public School at 25 Rosalind Cres.

Approximately 21 children between the ages of three to six were moved out of the daycare, according to police.

No injuries were reported.
