Nine bachelorettes will not receive the final rose from football player Brad Smith, after they were booted in the season premiere of The Bachelor Canada.

In the 90-minute premiere of the Canadian spin-off of the U.S. reality series, 25 bachelorettes decked out in prom-inspired wear vied for the affection of the 29-year-old Smith.

Alas, it was not love at first sight for nine Canadian ladies — Mindy, Amber, Clarice, Sandy and Rebecca also known as ‘Bubba’ — were among those sent packing in the Wednesday night premiere.

“Bubba do not chase, however, he is kind of cute,” Rebecca said.

But Canada’s first-ever bachelor did decide to keep Bianka — who dated Kris Humphries before his brief marriage to Kim Kardashian. Pastor Chantelle and Playboy model Melissa got to stay, too.

Smith gifted Whitney — with her notably toned arms — the first impression rose as well as the first kiss.

“I was immediately, like, floored. You’re just sweet, and you’re sincere and you’re smart,” Smith told her.

“It’s like an immediate click with you.”

The Bachelor Canada will air every Wednesday at 9 p.m. on Citytv.
