TORONTO, Ont. – Lawsuits have now been filed in the deadly Algo Mall collapse in Elliot Lake, Ont.
The families of the two women killed are suing several parties including the province, the mall owner and the engineers who declared the mall safe.
The women were killed when part of the mall collapsed this past June.
Five family members are seeking $11.25-million in damages.
The lawyer for the families said the deaths were a senseless, needless loss that should never have happened.
