If you’re looking for a job, a new survey suggests there may be reason to hope.
The poll shows 13 per cent of Canadian executives plan to add full time, professional-level staff in the fourth quarter.
The survey was done by Robert Half International, a firm which provides IT professionals on both a project and full-time basis.
Geena Griffin, district director in the GTA, says this is good news for workers.
“It’s actually up 5 percentage points from the same survey in (the third quarter),” Griffin said.
“I think what is also very good news, is that the result in those plan to decline staff is only 3 per cent,” she added.
The findings suggest that executives are feeling good about the future.
In fact, 34 per cent of those polled said they’re very confident in growth prospects for their companies in the fourth quarter, which starts Monday.
