Ontario’s premier will have to face the music Saturday.

Dalton McGuinty is up for leadership review that could decide whether he remains as leader of the Liberal Party, although it is highly unlikely he would be ousted.

In last year’s election McGuinty’s government became a minority.

The liberals came in third in a recent byelection in Kitchener-Waterloo, although they managed to hang onto their seat in Vaughan.

Some critics say McGuinty has alienated some of the liberal’s base of support by going after the salaries of public sector workers in an effort to balance the books.

Unions representing most of the teachers and education workers in the province are  now battling with McGuinty after helping get him re-elected over the past nine years.
