TORONTO, Ont. – The parents of a young man gunned down in Jamestown pleaded for his killer or killers to surrender.
“I would like to speak to his murderers directly,” the mother of Warsame Ali said.
“I forgive you for killing my son but want you to surrender yourself to the police. It is the only way you can clear your conscience.”
Warsame Ali and Suleiman Ali, both 26 and unrelated, were found shot to death near Jamestown Crescent and John Garland Boulevard on Sept. 18. Both victims were known to police.
Warsame Ali’s mother described him as “a loving son, brother, cousin and nephew…He was a very important part of our lives. We miss him” she said.
Hours before they were killed, the two friends were spotted at a bar with three other men, homicide detectives said.
Police said both men were the intended targets.
Investigators also want to recover the clothing the men were wearing. One is a blue/grey T-shirt with a small Air Jordan logo. The other is a hooded sweatshirt with “VANS” written cross the chest.
“Without this partnership with the community and from the friends of these two young men,
crucial information remains missing,” police said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416−808−7397.
