MARKHAM, Ont. – They’ll be dancing in the streets this weekend in Markham, Ont.
The city will attempt to break the current Guinness World Record for the world’s longest Chinese dancing dragon on Sunday.
It’s the first time an attempt has been made outside of China.
The 5.3-kilometre handcrafted dancing dragon will curl along the streets of Markham, with the help of more than 3,000 volunteers.
The record will be attempted at the Civic Centre at 2 p.m. Sunday with Guinness World Record officials watching.
