TORONTO, Ont. – A Toronto man has been arrested in connection with a series of break-ins in the East York and Scarborough area.

The burglaries occurred in unoccupied homes during weekday hours June 6-Sept. 20, 2012.

Police said the accused would cut out door or window screens at the rear of the homes to gain entry.

During the break-ins, a quantity of jewellery and electronics, as well as a woman’s diamond engagement ring, valued at $14,000.

Marlon Davis, 22, of Toronto, faces 49 charges, including 23 counts of break-and-enter.
